MITA has recently been informed that the FHWA will be focusing their 2013 construction oversight reviews on the following items:
- Pavement marking removal process and ways to limit the scaring on the final wearing surface
- Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control maintenance of devices and documentation of compliance
- Extra Work/Force Account process and documentation compliance
- Ensuring that the project engineer/inspector is knowledgeable about the HMA binder sampling at the plant
