Attached you will find the MITA Contractor Annual Volume Report for 2018. This report will help the MITA Board of Directors to analyze the MITA Contractor Dues for 2019. We ask that each company be very fair and honest when choosing the appropriate category for the volume of work that your company will report for 2018.
Over the past few years, it has been noted that many companies have been under-reporting the volume of work that they are actually performing, which consequently has an impact on the MITA operating budget. The financial condition and stability of MITA is totally dependent on your support. Therefore, a more aggressive and direct approach is now necessary.
Once collected, this information will be distributed to the MITA Board of Directors for their consideration and discussion. A review of all information available regarding public works, including MDOT and local letting results, may be analyzed.
MITA staff has worked hard to develop your trust and to be steadfast, efficient and professional in our approach to promoting and protecting the heavy construction industry. There were many victories and successes in this past year, and there are many opportunities for continued growth in the year to come. It is my hope that equity will be recognized in return for the professional services that continue to be offered by the MITA team!
