In Memoriam – Jim Fulton Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James E. Fulton, Jr., affectionately known as Jim, JR, or Junior, who passed away on February 19, 2026, at the age of 74, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Jim was deeply connected to MITA and remained especially fond of the organization as he still proudly referred to it as “AUC.” Through James E. Fulton and Sons Excavating, a long-standing MITA member company, Jim was an active and familiar presence within the association for many years. He especially cherished the strong bonds formed through his MITA membership and often reminisced about the laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments shared at the Presidential Ball — affectionately known among members as the “Sewer Prom.”

A gifted welder and fabricator, Jim dedicated much of his life to the family business before retiring in 2012. Beyond his professional talents, he was known for his generosity, strong work ethic, and genuine enjoyment of time spent with fellow members of the industry.
