Michigan’s Design and Construction Coalition has once again partnered with The Black Caucus Foundation of Michigan, Michigan Department of Transportation and Detroit Public Schools, to provide Detroit Public School (DPS) students (middle and early high school) an opportunity to experience the various careers that exist in the design and construction industry.
The 3rd Annual Construction Science Expo is scheduled for May 21, 2013 at the Michigan Science Center. A number of individuals will be present to help make this great event a huge success including Harvey Hollins, Governor’s Office of Urban Affairs; Janet Howard, Deputy Director of Workforce Development, Pamela Moore, Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation and Kirk Steudle, Director of Michigan Department of Transportation.
Be a Sponsor…
You can also take part in this great event by being a sponsor ($500) and provide a group of approximately 125 students with a construction safety vest that proudly displays your company logo.
Show your support of Michigan’s construction industry as we work to help build the future workforce of tomorrow. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Doug Needham at MITA. Time is of the essence, as this opportunity is limited to the first eight companies.
