It is with heavy hearts that we announce the recent passing of Pete Moutzalias, founder and co-owner of MITA member Progress Company, on June 22, 2019. Pete was at his home in Brownstown, MI.
Pete founded and co-owned Progress Company since 1966 and was known by everyone for his generosity and integrity throughout his career.
Progress Company was a proud member of the Michigan Road Builders Association since the 1970s and then MITA after the merger in 2005.
Pete was a tremendous inspiration to all of his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
A funeral has already taken place, so no further arrangements are available at this time.
MITA wishes to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Pete, as well as to the entire team at Progress Company, during this difficult time.
