ARTBA-TDF Lanford Memorial Scholarship – Now Accepting Applications

ARTBA-TDF’s Lanford Family Transportation Construction Worker Memorial Scholarship Program is open and accepting applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. We are hoping to identify new students in need to provide financial assistance to help those impacted by industry fatalities reach their educational goals.

The recently expanded scholarship provides financial assistance to help the sons, daughters or legally adopted children of transportation construction industry workers killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty pursue post- high school education. Scholarships are awarded annually with a value of up to $10,000. Funds may be used for students to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and technical/vocational degrees and programs. Students who parents worked in the following sectors are eligible:

Airports
Bridges
Highways
Marine
Ports and Waterways
Public Transit
Railroads
Roadways
Tunnels
Utilities

Applications are due Friday, April 19th. Contact ARTBA’s Melanie Laird at mlaird@artba.org or 202-683-1029 with any questions or concerns: https://artbatdf.org/scholarships-awards/lanford-scholarship/.
