Dan Babcock’s Legacy Lives On

When Dan Babcock, founder of longtime MITA Member Give ‘Em a Brake Safety and a MITA Honorary Member, passed away in March of this year, his family named the MITA Scholarship Fund as a recipient of donations in his memory.

To date, that fund has received in excess of $15,000, which will be used to offer financial support to individuals who hope to pursue a career in the heavy/highway construction industry. Applications are accepted on an annual basis in the spring, and winners are announced in the summer. MITA thanks all those who have contributed to date to this fund, which is so vital to the continued success of our industry.

With his passing, Dan Babcock continues to do great things for the association that he supported throughout his career, and MITA is extremely grateful for this. Dan was honored during this year’s Annual Conference with an MITA Honorary Member video. In case you missed it, you can watch the video by clicking here
