With spring weather nearly upon us, it’s that time of year again: pothole season!
As temperatures fluctuate dramatically day to day, Michigan drivers are likely to find themselves dodging potholes all over our state. Despite your best efforts, you might find yourself in a repair shop soon, thanks to our bad roads.
MITA is proud to support the Just Fix The Roads campaign to urge the legislature to invest in our roads and transportation infrastructure. The campaign just rolled out the “Pothole Pocketbook Contest” to pay for auto repairs due to bad roads (up to $500) for four lucky Michigan motorists.
Click here to enter the contest online at JustFixTheRoads.com/contest. It’s easy to enter online: all Michigan drivers with repair bills due to bad roads in 2013 are eligible. The campaign will randomly select one winner each week through April 5!
Once you enter the contest on the Just Fix The Roads website, it’s easy to contact your legislators in support of investing in roads to save money and save lives. Even if you don’t enter the contest, please contact your legislators now online. It only takes a minute on the Just Fix The Roads site. While the contest helps, investing in transportation is the only real way to reduce the high cost of bad roads to motorists.
