If you’re a public infrastructure leader in Michigan, there’s an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to stronger communities. The Michigan Infrastructure Council (MIC), in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Treasury, invites you to become an Asset Management Champion through a free, comprehensive training program.

Program Overview

Program Dates: August 12 – October 30, 2025
Application Deadline: August 8, 2025
Cost: Free for all public infrastructure owners in Michigan

This cohort-based training is more than just a course—it’s a dynamic, fast-paced program designed to expand your knowledge, connect you with peers across the state, and award you a professional certificate from MIC.

A Resourceful Program with Continuing Education Credits

In addition to building key asset management competencies, this program offers valuable continuing education benefits:

  • 2.5 continuing education credits for drinking water operators

  • Continuing education credits for professional engineers

Participants will complete approximately 25 hours of training through an asynchronous format, enabling flexible, self-paced learning that fits within your schedule.

New this year: Participants will also have access to consultations with our contractor, offering hands-on support to help implement asset management practices in your organization.
