The legislature will break for summer recess soon, and with that break comes the opportunity to invite legislators to construction jobsites in their home districts. Construction season is already in full swing across the state, and many of you are working on projects that are vital to the state’s infrastructure.
We strongly encourage all MITA member companies to consider hosting a legislative site visit on a project you are working on during the summer months. We will help you finalize the logistics with your respective legislators, but we need you to reach out to us and let us know where you think a visit would be the most beneficial.
We must do everything we can to ensure that the attention and focus of the entire legislature remains on road funding until a long-term permanent solution is found. This is a great, hands-on way to physically show the legislators just how much investment is needed.
