It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Don Scharg, attorney at Bodman PLC, as well as long-time legal counsel and friend of MITA and the industry on December 22, 2019. He was 66 years old.
Don was a gentle giant, a great attorney and an even better friend. He served the industry and MITA for many decades as a labor attorney. No legal challenge was too great for Don, and he was admired by many for his prowess and knowledge.
Don was stubborn, but never failed to respectfully listen to another’s point of view. He also had so much love and pride in his family, his faith, the law, and his friends.
In keeping with the Jewish faith, Don was laid to rest this morning. Due to the timing and the weekend, we were unable to send out a timely notification.
