In Memoriam – Scott Ammarman

It is with deep sadness and an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of Scott Ammarman, retired project engineer for E.T. MacKenzie Co.

Scott Lyle Ammarman, passed away on February 18, 2025, due to a heart attack. Born in Lansing, Michigan, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend known for his wisdom, humor, and generosity.

Scott’s life was one of dedication and hard work. After attending Michigan State University, he began his career as a surveyor with Wolverine Engineers and Surveyors, Inc. in 1977. With a keen eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to excellence, he gained invaluable experience as a construction inspector before advancing in his career as a project estimator. Scott’s professional journey took him to Santa Fe Construction, AIC Inc., Cadwell Brothers Construction, and ultimately to E.T. MacKenzie Company, where he retired in 2021 as the Chief Project Estimator.

An avid musician, skier, golfer, and Michigan State Spartans fan, Scott embraced life with passion. He shared adventures with his wife, Joy, and family, traveling and making lasting memories.
