MDOT Implements Prequalificaiton Application Submittal Enhancements

Last November MDOT changed the prequalification application submittal process from a “hard copy” submittal to an electronic submittal where the application and all required documentation must be submitted via e-mail.

As stated in the Contractor Announcement this e-mail submittal process is an interim step as MDOT continues to work towards an automated on-line prequalification process.

In June MDOT announced that they created and implemented a shortened version of the 1313 Construction Prequalification Application, the 1313EZ Construction Prequalification Renewal Application.

The 1313EZ prequalification renewal application is available to those contractors whose renewal application includes a CPA audited, reviewed, or compiled statement (typically those contractors who have an overall financial rating greater than $2 million) and who have no major changes in key personnel and/or equipment.
