MDOT Posts Survey for Pilot “I-69 Industry Safety and Constructability Review”

As follow-up to the “Industry Safety and Constructability Review” pilot (see MITA’s March 10th bulletin, MDOT to Pilot “Industry Safety and Constructability Review During Design”) on the upcoming I-69 project (I-69 from I-96 to Airport Road in Clinton/Eaton County), MDOT has posted a survey on their Innovative Contracting website to gain input from industry for the purpose of improving the review process going forward.

To participate in the survey go to the I-69 Industry Safety and Constructability Review webpage and scroll down to the “Industry Safety and Constructability Review Survey”.

The “industry safety and constructability review process” was piloted to give contractors the opportunity to provide constructive input during the project design phase. We encourage all contractors to participate in the pilot/survey process to ensure the process value is recognized and appreciated, and will be utilized on future projects.
