MDOT Requests Industry Feedback for the Detroit New Center Intermodal Facility

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is currently working on procurement documents for the Detroit New Center Intermodal Facility (DNCIF) project.  The project will reconstruct the existing Amtrak station and relocate the existing intercity bus station from Howard Street to create a modern intermodal passenger hub, serving both rail and bus passengers.  MDOT is requesting industry feedback on the procurement scenarios being contemplated for the DNCIF.  The press release, procurement scenarios, and feedback questionnaire can be found under the DNCIF project heading on MDOT’s Innovative Contracting website:

MDOT is requesting responses to the Questionnaire by Friday, August 19, 2022 (4:00pm EST).  Deliver responses to the Questionnaire via email to Jim Schultz at MDOT.  Following the August 19th deadline, the MDOT Team plans to offer respondents the opportunity to schedule individual meetings.  These meetings will tentatively be schedule in early September and will focus on the questionnaire and associated responses.
