Yesterday MDOT posted a survey (by a Contractor Announcement) to collect feedback on the April 7th and 12th letting pilots. These lettings piloted the process of providing a financial rating range, along with the required work classification(s), rather than the actual financial rating, for each advertised project. In addition, the Eligible Bidders List was not published for either letting.
We are encouraging ALL MEMBERS to respond to the survey. MITA has collected and passed along to MDOT many comments and concerns on behalf of our members, but this is the first opportunity provided by the department for industry to give tangible feedback directly to MDOT for the April pilot letting.
The survey will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8th
