MDOT has selected two upcoming construction projects to pilot AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials (APCM). MDOT plans to implement APCM as a replacement for FieldManager after testing is complete. The two pilot projects selected will be:
MDOT Contract 84916 – 132611A – Overband crack fill and HMA crack treatment project. Brighton TSC region-wide (Livingston, Washtenaw & Monroe counties) contract. This contract will have a warranty and is expected to be advertised shortly for the MDOT April 6th letting.
MDOT Contract 58052 – 116351A – Construct center left turn lane US-24 from 2900 feet north of Buhl to Newport. This project includes culvert work, pavement widening, cold milling, pavement repairs and HMA resurfacing. This contract is scheduled for the MDOT June 1st letting.
Both MDOT pilot projects will include a Special Provision for Construction
Management that will include notification of MDOT contract terminology changes (i.e. Change Order vs. Contract Modification), detail APCM access and training, and detail change order process requirements using the new system.
