MITA REACHES TABLE AGREEMENT SETTLEMENT WITH MI REGIONAL COUNCIL OF CARPENTERS FOR FIVE-YEAR DEAL THROUGH MAY 2026 FOR OUTSTATE CONTRACT
A committee made up of Labor Relations Division (LRD) members of MITA who are signatory with the Carpenters Outstate Agreement have reached a settlement with that union for a five-year deal. That agreement included some language changes, which were negotiated during discussions, held over the course of two weeks.
The language updates include many housekeeping items, but also incorporates some changes to the apprenticeship practices in the contract.
The economics of the five-year agreement includes a $1.40 increase in the first two years, a $1.75 increase in the third year and $2.00 increases in the fourth and fifth years. The total increase averages approximately 3.5% per year when spread over the five years.
Attached, you will find a copy of the Table Agreement along with a ballot in order for your voice to be heard. Please fill out the ballot and send it back to MITA by Friday, April 23, 2021. It can be emailed to email@example.com.
