MITA Scholarship Accepting Donations
Since its creation in 2016, the MITA Scholarship Fund has had 93 applicants and 59 awards totaling $114,000. In order to continue to generously support students who are working toward a career in the construction industry, we need your support. MITA accepts scholarship donations throughout the year, making it easy to do online or via check. Checks can be made payable to: MITA and sent to P.O. Box 1640, Okemos MI 48805. Be sure to include “scholarship donation” in the memo line.

Named Scholarships
In the summer of 2018, MITA was approached by the Dave Fons Memorial Fund to establish a named scholarship that is distributed annually through the MITA Scholarship Fund. Since its inception, the Dave Fons Memorial Fund has donated $26,000, continuing to support the scholarship fund as a whole but, more importantly, supporting students pursuing a career in the industry while honoring Dave, who had a passion for his work and the industry.
In the spirit of fostering a collaborative approach to providing scholarships to the next generation, as well as in an effort to pay respectful tribute to the memories of those who are no longer with us, MITA would like to offer all member companies the opportunity to partner with us in establishing named scholarships.
