National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW) is an annual spring campaign held at the start of the construction season to encourage safe driving through work zones. Each year, MDOT and roadway safety partners throughout Michigan hold a National Work Zone Awareness Week Press Conference. The event has grown from a press conference of three people in 2015 to over 150 at last year’s event.
This year, National Work Zone Awareness Week is April 8-12, 2019. Greater participation increases Work Zone Awareness and improves safety as we move toward our goal of Zero Deaths on roadways.
The continued success and growth of the Michigan Press Conference Event is not possible without the participation and generosity of donors, so we ask for your financial help. We ask for donations to help defray costs and to help us continue to make this event possible. Any amount is appreciated, and $250 from 30 companies would meet this year’s need.
We hope that you will be able to help us fund the Michigan Press Conference Event. Please make your check payable to the Michigan Chapter of ATSSA and mail it to:

Thank you! We appreciate your support and hope to see you at the Press Conference on April 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at Team Elmer’s (3600 Rennie School Rd. Traverse City, MI).
Our goal is simple. Advance roadway safety and continue our mission Towards Zero Deaths.
