MITA has been asked to participate in a stakeholder group meeting scheduled by the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) , the state organization in charge of enforcement of Public Act 174 better known as the Miss Dig Act.
The MPSC wants to hear directly from external stakeholders regarding experiences they have had this year concerning locating requests and related problems. MITA staff has handled numerous calls regarding failures this year but would also like to be able to provide this information to all stakeholders at the November second meeting on your behalf. Don’t be shy but do be constructive with your thoughts. MITA will not share yours or your company’s name regarding what you might have to say.
Send your experiences, and ideas to info@thinkmita.org (referencing “utility locating issues” in the subject line) or call Rob Coppersmith to make your voice heard.
