2020 certainly has been a year filled with challenges, and planning association networking events is no exception. During a typical year, this week MITA staff would have been making final preparations for our “wildly” popular Wild Game Dinner & Scholarship Fundraiser. However, because the state’s gathering restrictions are still in effect, we have canceled the event for this year and we will try again in 2021.
With that said, there is a silver lining. In the early stages of planning the event, MITA members donated $25,000 that has since been transferred to the Scholarship Fund. So, while the membership will lose out on the networking and camaraderie aspects that this event has to offer, students interested in careers within the industry will win!
