Don’t forget to take the Michigan Work Zone Safety Task Force Perception Survey. The deadline has been extended to Friday, April 26th.
In late 2018, industry leaders and Michigan Department of Transportation teamed up to establish the Work Zone Safety Task Force. Aimed at improving work zone safety and reducing the number of injuries and deaths across the state, the task force is comprised of seven Action Teams. Each Action Team represents a key objective in providing safer work zones for all stakeholders – from influencing driver compliance to balancing mobility and safety.
To better evaluate the current industry perceptions of work zone safety and gather ideas on how to make meaningful improvements, Action Team 6 asks for your help!
By taking about 10 minutes to fill out the survey at the link below, you will help the Work Zone Safety Task Force and Action Team 6 change the culture of work zone safety within our industry. We also ask that organizations forward this survey to all of their employees, both in field and in office, through the use of email, text messages, and links in employee paystubs. Gathering a wide variety of responses will better enable us to assess work zone safety to all of those it impacts. Thank you!
