MITA’s EVP Rob Coppersmith was appointed this morning to Governor Whitmer’s “Growing Michigan Together Council.” The purpose of the council is to identify evidence-based goals in the areas of infrastructure, population, and education. A report from the council is due to the Governor by December 1st of this year! MITA considers this development of the council as a big step in the right direction concerning a possible solution to the funding woes that have plagued Michigan’s infrastructure.
