Call for Speaker Proposals MITA 2027 Annual Conference January 27–28, 2027 | Grand Rapids, Michigan
MITA is now accepting speaker proposals for the 2027 Annual Conference.
We’re seeking engaging presenters and industry experts to deliver educational sessions that provide practical insight, innovative ideas, and relevant discussion topics for Michigan’s transportation and infrastructure industry professionals.
We welcome proposals from contractors, engineers, public agencies, consultants, technology providers, legal and safety professionals, and other subject matter experts.
Suggested Topics
MITA welcomes proposals on topics including, but not limited to:
• Transportation infrastructure trends
• Road and bridge construction innovations
• Workforce development and retention
• Safety and risk management
• Regulatory updates
• Artificial intelligence and emerging technology
• Project delivery and best practices
• Sustainability and resiliency
• Leadership and organizational development
• Equipment, materials, and construction technology
• Case studies and project highlights
Session Information
Breakout sessions are expected to be approximately 45–60 minutes in length and should provide educational value and actionable takeaways for attendees.
Preference may be given to sessions that:
• Include practical, real-world applications
• Feature multiple perspectives or panel discussions
• Encourage audience engagement
• Address current industry challenges and opportunities
Submission Deadline
Speaker proposals will be accepted through August 31, 2026.

Notification Timeline
Selected speakers will be notified following the proposal review process in Fall 2026.
