As promised at the 2019 Annual Conference in January, MITA and MDOT’s joint effort, the Work Zone Safety Task Force, has hit the ground running. We’re kicking things off on the social media front with the launch of Work Zone Wednesdays, a weekly effort to remind the public to drive carefully in work zones.
We encourage all of our MITA members to join us in this effort by sharing, posting, tweeting or re-tweeting the Work Zone Wednesday posts that we will be pushing on social media. Feel free to copy our language and graphics verbatim, and please use the hashtag #WorkZoneWednesday before publishing.
To get you started, we’ve included the posts we have scheduled for the first two Wednesdays in February. After that, please check the MITA Facebook and Twitter feeds every Wednesday morning to see the weekly #WorkZoneWednesday posts.
