Beginning with the November 2006 bid letting, all MDOT projects involving earth change activities will include the Special Provision for Non-Compliance with Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Requirements click here.
The high level of success experienced on 21 “pilot” projects constructed this season prompted this action taken by the Department. MDOT attributes the success of the pilot projects to good communications and prompt responses in addressing deficiencies identified. No negative price adjustments were made on any of the 21 pilot projects.
