Demetrius (Dee) Parker has accepted the Southwest Region engineer position. Dee has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Michigan State University and is currently serving as the Contract Services Division administrator. Dee’s prior MDOT experience includes serving as Jackson TSC manager, Consultant Road Design Unit leader with the Design Division, and Lansing TSC Cost and Scheduling engineer. Dee serves on the Innovative Contracting Committee, the MDOT/MITA Disadvantage Business Enterprise Committee, MDOT/ACEC Procedures and Practice Committee, DTMB’s Enterprise Procurement Leadership Team, and chairs the Unbalance Bid Review Team. Dee is a recipient of the AASHTO Standing Committee on Quality’s Pathfinder Award for Quality Team Achievement, and MDOT’s Teamwork Award for his contributions as a member of the Capitol Loop Team.
