Did you know that the federal government may be willing to pay to upgrade your diesel equipment?

Will you be ready if diesel emission standards are forced on your company? Do you know the overall level of emissions of your fleet?

MITA and the equipment industry are going to get you ahead of the curve by applying for a federal grant aimed at lowering diesel emissions by bringing your “aged” equipment into compliance with requirements of the Diesel Reduction Act. To do this we need your prompt attention. The grant deadline is just around the corner. In order for MITA to submit the grant, you must submit your potential eligible equipment list to one of the equipment dealers listed below by Friday, November 13, 2009 (before you leave on your deer hunting trip).

Qualifying equipment may be eligible for the following:

Certified Engine Repowers: 75% government paid

Retrofitting of various elements: 100% government paid

   Up-Grade Kits: 100% government paid

Total replacement: up to 50% government paid

Click here for complete details regarding grant requirements and opportunities. Below are the main contacts from MITA members that are participating in the grant request. It is imperative that you contact these individuals to determine if components of your fleet are eligible and to what extent. They will then provide the information to MITA for submittal.
