Several weeks ago you were given the necessary information to contact your legislators via email about investing in Michigan’s infrastructure. One of our member companies, Ajax Paving, took the assignment one step further by investing in a link on their website, making it simple to contact your legislators with a few clicks of the mouse. The best part of this link is the fact that photos of bad roads and bridges have already been pre-uploaded for individual districts. Once you select your legislators, fill out your contact information, select a letter and click the submit button, the photos will automatically attach to your email. This is a quick and very easy way to keep the pressure on the legislature as they deliberate the merits of finding more funds for transportation and infrastructure needs. This is also a great way to get involved and to contribute to this grassroots campaign. We need everyone to participate!
MITA has implemented an identical link on the website www.mi-ita.com, as well as on www.justfixtheroads.com. We have negotiated a very reasonable rate with the developer to enable all of our members to be able to implement a non-branded version of the very same link on their sites. This would allow for all members’ employees, family and friends to participate in influencing the decisions before our legislators regarding funding for Michigan roads and bridges.
