With deep sadness, we announce the passing of David Chapman, founder of MITA Member David Chapman Agency.
David George Chapman, age 87, of Lansing, Michigan passed into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and into Glory on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023. David was born on May 26, 1935, to George & Emily Chapman in Taunton, England where he resided until age 12, when he and his family made the transatlantic journey to escape war-torn England and settled in Lansing, Michigan.
He graduated from Sexton High School in 1952 and Michigan State University with a degree in Accounting in 1956. He began a career in public accounting, then transitioned to managing the office and accounting for a local insurance agency. In 1976, he started the David Chapman Agency, which has grown to one of the largest agencies in the Lansing area and where multiple generations of his family continue his legacy.
