We are rapidly approaching Election Day: Tuesday, May 5, 2015. It is SO important that everyone does their part to Get Out The Vote with their employees.
Some members have taken matters into their own hands by deciding to give their employees the morning off or to start the workday a few hours later than usual on Tuesday, May 5. This is an effort to encourage employees to get to the polls without having to worry about adjusting their busy morning routines.
In addition, some members have chosen to take things one step further by hosting a random drawing for a couple of fun gift certificates, which employees can enter if they come in to work with an “I Voted” sticker on Tuesday, May 5. This is a unique and creative way to encourage your employees to head to the polls, while simultaneously getting your entire team involved in something important and out of the ordinary.
So here’s your charge: get creative and get your team fired up for May 5th and for Proposal 1! This is our last, best chance to invest in Michigan’s roads and bridges. We need everyone’s support, and we need all hands on deck.
