MDOT e-Ticketing Pilots Announcement

MDOT recently announced they plan to pilot e-Ticketing during the 2022 construction season. MDOT anticipates utilizing e-ticketing on one to three projects per TSC with the goal that e-ticketing experience can be gained for aggregates, concrete, and HMA.

The pilot special provision will be added by contract modification upon mutual agreement between MDOT and the prime. The pilot special provision is permissive as not all projects will have suppliers ready for e-ticketing or there may be projects located in geographical locations that have dead spots for data transfer.

MDOT intends to assess the future implementation of e-ticketing based on the experiences of this pilot season depending on the successes or challenges experienced.
