To better smooth the MDOT bid lettings in the height of the coming construction season, MDOT has moved the August letting to the second Friday in August, August 9th.
This move of the August letting smooths the time between the July, August and September lettings such that there will now be 4 weeks between the July 12th and August 9th letting, and 4 weeks between the August 9th and September 6th letting.
All prospective bidders should recall that the July letting was already scheduled for the second Friday in July, July 12th, due to the 4th of July holiday.
