MDOT Survey for 11X17 Roadway Sample Plans

In October 2020, MDOT transitioned from PowerGeopak V8i to OpenRoads Designer. As part of this upgrade, MDOT moved away from displaying three profile windows in the profile sheets, and instead incorporated grading and side-slope information directly into the plan view, while creating storm sewer profiles as standalone profile sheets.

The purpose of this survey is to gather meaningful feedback from designers and from those who regularly review plan sheets as part of their job responsibilities. Your input will play an essential role in guiding the development of a new set of roadway sample plans. These sample plans will serve as a statewide reference to support consistent, clear, and high-quality MDOT plan sheet production.

While this survey focuses on where grading, superelevation, and profile information should be shown within MDOT plans, feedback on all plan sheets is welcome. Your insights are highly valued and will help MDOT continue to improve the clarity, consistency, and overall quality of project deliverables.

The survey will remain open until Friday, October 23 at 5PM.
