The stated goal of Action Team 3, of the Michigan Work Zone Safety Task Force, is to “maintain flexibility throughout the project lifecycle to incorporate work zone safety.” A key component to achieving that goal is to test a proposed process for soliciting industry input and comment on safety, MOT concepts and constructability.
In support of the efforts of Action Team 3, MDOT will execute a Pilot Project that will include a process for soliciting and collecting industry review comments on MOT and staging during the project development process.
