MITA Cancels 2020 Summer Conference Due To COVID-19

After careful thought and consideration, MITA has decided to cancel this year’s Summer Conference at Crystal Mountain, which was scheduled for July 22-July 27, 2020 and has now been rescheduled at that location for July 27-31, 2022.

It was brought to our attention that several member firms are currently prohibiting their folks from attending large events and gatherings due to the continued health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19. Because of this, it does not make sense to move forward as planned, given that this conference is typically an excellent networking opportunity with normally high levels of attendance.

As a reminder, the 2021 Summer Conference is currently scheduled to take place at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, which is why this year’s reservation was moved to 2022 rather than just moving it forward one year to 2021.

We appreciate your understanding and support, as this was not an easy decision to make. At the end of the day, however, doing our part to maintain the health and safety of all our members, suppliers, staff and their families is paramount.
