New MITA Member Service Will Help You Hire Workers!
MITA is excited to announce that we are in the process of developing a new contractor member service that will connect potential employees with member firms. MITA will be committing substantial resources to further enhance the Michigan Construction website, which got over 80,000 hits in 2020 from potential industry employees. In the past, the site was funded by various employers. MITA has budgeted funds for the next five years so you don’t have to. What this means to contractor members is that you will all have a button/logo on the site that will link potential workers to your website and or to the right person in your organization. Consider this Phase One, and it will take place rather quickly in an effort to capitalize on the impending hiring season.
Phase Two
The site will be built out with an interactive map so prospective applicants can select a region that happens to be aligned with MDOT regions. This will make it easier for applicants to find jobs closer to home without exhaustive searches. Thereafter, MITA will make incremental changes to develop functionality and use while using our other social media outlets and the existing FixMIState social media presence to drive traffic to the site. As always please be patient while we improve the site and roll out this new member service.
In Addition . . .
Your access to this member service is predicated on MITA membership. All contractor members will be placed on the site unless for some unforeseeable reason your organization would prefer to opt out. Additional services will be offered. For instance: if you would like to advertise a job fair or other hiring event, there will be an ala carte cost for promoting those events.
