This year the need for proper investment in Michigan’s infrastructure is at the forefront of legislative minds in Lansing. Contributing to the MITA PAC is one of the best and most effective ways a member can take part in this process.
While the MITA PAC will continue to accept contributions via personal check, an effort is under way to grow and expand the PAC by now giving members the option to contribute via personal credit card. It is the goal, as an association representing the industry’s best interests, to ensure that this change helps to increase the number of contributions. In order to have an impact in Lansing, the MITA PAC must be able to financially support the goals set forth by the Board of Directors and this can only be done with a strong MITA PAC.
Next week, the new MITA PAC form, as well as a copy of the MITA PAC brochure, will be mailed to the MITA membership. Members are strongly encouraged to read both pieces carefully and to consider their contribution options, particularly if a member has not had time to contribute yet this year.
Please remember that all contributions to the MITA PAC must be personal and not corporate. Michigan campaign finance laws prohibit corporate contributions. In addition, please be aware that MITA PAC contributions are NOT tax deductible. Thank you for your continued support, and please take advantage of this new opportunity!
