New State Revolving Fund Project List Available

The State Department of Environmental Quality has just released a new project priority list for the State Revolving Fund (SRF) and Drinking Water Fund (DWRF).  A copy of the most recent lists can be found by clicking here.

In other news, the state’s long-time administrator for the SRF, Chip Heckathorn, retired this week.  His replacement is ten-year DEQ veteran Sonya Butler.  The department is in the midst of some internal staff transitioning, at the same time there is a merger in the works between the DEQ and the Department of Natural Resources.

In the months ahead, the merged departments will be grappling with new federal law regulations for all SRF programs, including prevailing wage requirements on all jobs.  MITA will keep you informed as decisions are made about the application of the new federal laws.
