t has come to MITA’s attention that Operating Engineers, Local 324 (OE 324) is now in agreement with MITA’s position that employees should have use of their hour banks, medical reimbursement accounts and the opportunity to make self-payments.
This applies to all employees working under the MITA Road and Utility Distribution recently expired agreements. At this point, this decision is on an interim basis, per OE 324.
At this time, there are no plans to send out any additional participant notices regarding cancelation of insurance coverage.
