MDOT I-69 Industry Safety and Constructability Review – Deadline Extended

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is extending the deadline for their Industry Safety and Constructability Review of the maintaining traffic and staging plans for I-69 from I-96 to Airport Road (JN’s 125869, 129982, and 204666) to April 24, 2020.

In support of the efforts of Action Team 3 of the Michigan Work Zone Safety Task Force (WZSTF), this I-69 job (currently in its development phase), is a Pilot Project for soliciting and collecting industry review comments on MOT and staging during the project’s development. All information relative to this pilot project is posted on MDOT’s Innovative Contracting webpage and can be accessed by clicking here.

We encourage all contractor members to take a few minutes to review the pilot project documents and provide any comments you may have on the project’s safety, MOT and construction staging.
