It’s come to our attention that members are receiving phishing emails from people with email addresses containing the “@datacaptive.live” suffix and perhaps others.
There has been a substantial uptick of emails from rogue list brokers sent to MITA members, attendees, and exhibitors fraudulently claiming to have official MITA attendee lists for sale. MITA does not share or sell the show’s attendee email list nor do we authorize any third parties to sell email lists of attendees or exhibitors.
This is a nationwide scam impacting numerous trade associations across the country and these scammers are simply phishing for personal information. These rogue outfits are not associated with MITA or the MITA Annual Conference; anyone who engages with or purchases information from these unauthorized actors does so at their own risk. Responding to these emails may also confirm to the spammers that they have reached a valid email address which may result in even more unsolicited spam emails in your inbox.
Stay alert and don’t get scammed with this fake offer!
We’re sorry for the inconvenience that these spammers cause you.
