We have been in communication with the Michigan Damage Prevention Board. The MDPB was instrumental in the polygon size restrictions that were put into place in the spring of 2023. We are aiming to get them to recommend to the MISS DIG Board of Directors to increase or lift square footage restrictions.
MITA has heard numerous complaints about the reduction of polygon size, please explain why or how this has impacted your organization if you fail to do this the system will think that this may not be an issue. We need to know specifics about issues you may have had that were caused indefinitely by the reduced-size polygons that ended in safety concerns, delays, additional utility strikes, etc.
